Amie Postma is a self-taught local artist.
She lives in Modesto, CA on the family dairy farm with her husband and their three children. She worked as a nurse practitioner before the birth of their third child. Through her career as a nurse, Amie observed many needs in her local community. Her husband, Jonathon, is a third generation dairy farmer. Together they started Art to Feed. Paintings from Art to Feed benefit local causes that help to improve the community and promote agriculture awareness. Amie's work is influenced by the central valley agricultural region and animals at their farm. Amie describes her art as acrylic- palate with a knife and brush. Her works are inspired by life in the Central Valley and our agricultural heritage. She has a Master’s degree in nursing and a BA in psychology. Amie loves cooking, gardening, painting and inspiring others to create. She is passionate about giving to and improving our community. Learn more about Amie on her blog: https://arttofeed.org
